it's a pity that you don't speak german (or do you?) - i must quote my old math teacher here - "schmiegt sich asymptotisch an..."
i was a true looser in math, but - ah, i loved him talk like that...
well, i just googled the translation for asymptote, and it's the same in english - it's a mathematical term for curves that go to infinity, coming nearer and nearer to something, or to one another, but never really touching...
he said sort of "they snuggle asymptotic" - hard to translate - i hope you understand?
you know, i didn't understand math at all, but i loved his lessons, because he really loved math and tried to bring that fascination across, being a good entertainer...

i just thought, it's a pity that this guy doesn't live anymore - he would probably have gone crazy over fractal art... it shows the beauty that he had seen in his mind and that he tried to show us...
